Facts/Notes:

- James Real and Fake versions of him are up to interpretation / a mystery in being able to tell them apart. He is the first main protagonist and is a very unreliable narrator. My story is split into 2 parts. The second main protagonist is his son, Dani. It is easy to tell who the Real and Fake versions are but only because of his sanity being too far gone. He is also an unreliable narrator. The mystery of his character is the fact that will not be able to figure out why and how he became like his parents without being raised by them. In James story, you will know what happened to be because 1. he knows and 2. it’s actively happening. For Dani’s case he does not have any memories to explain why and his story takes place after it happened

- James and A1 are roughly based on 1990s-2000s but Dani is kind of inspired by the 70s! “why is their kid based on a decade before their own?” To cause a great divide! Danis parents are extremely immature and naturally, being NOT raised by them, he would seem way more mature than them. Also yeah he wasn’t raised by them so aside from biologically, his tastes and personality will be different.

- Religious Cult Leader, not much of a politician or a dictator (yet). Originally in the story Dani started out as an (anonymous) ruler of Vansinne but I rather build up to the finale of his following growing large and then eventually taking over the government but thats not how I want to pacing to go anymore.

- Dani loves himself more than anyone, he often has a hard time caring for others. He loves to weird and creep people out; making others uncomfortable and scared gives him joy. Often exhibits impulsive and random behavior, engaging in activities such as “cannibalism” and then suddenly donating to charity.

- Dani is certainly an interesting fella. He has Tristophobia/maestophobia, Atelophobia, and many other disorders.

- You can do anything with him but in art other than my own he must always has to have a positive or semi-neutral expression on his face because frowning/negative expressions would conflict with his backstory.

- Wears gloves because hes a germaphobe and he hates touching people

Story

so since everything is changed, what role does Dani play now? originally in the story Dani started out as an (anonymous) ruler of Vansinne but I rather build up to the finale of his following growing large and then eventually taking over the government but thats not how I want to pacing to go anymore. supernatural shit doesn't exist anymore (aside from religious stuff) so Dani original purpose is invalid. he isnt a villain or a hero anymore. hell, he isnt even a non-human entity anymore! (turns out all this fantasy crap was in his head the whole time) just the kid to the main characters, James and A1. well not really JUST the kid. hes also will eventually become one of the main after they grow old and… “die”

Main Timeline (2007-2019)

James and A1 eventually (accidentally) have Dani. James was scared. A1 didn't care but was annoyed to be a parent.

Born intersex, assigned Female (Later change to Male) on July 20th, 2XXX. Born in Vansinne.

They were born with selective mutism and undiagnosed neurodivergence.

James tried his best and A1 tried a little effort to care for them but they couldn’t really do a lot to help them grow.

Dani has never met their other family members so they made a lot up in their head.

The main thing Dani had to look forward to was their imagination.

Starting school Dani had no skills and was behind in a lot. They had unchecked delayed mental development.

Dani had no social skills and no friends. It was miserable but Dani didn’t know that. They thought this was normal. They were bullied a lot during elementary...

One miserable Christmas morning, in front of little Dani, James and A1 had a huge fight ending in James getting hit and A1 leaving for the day. James reassured Dani that he was fine and told them “When someone you love hurts you, you usually deserved it.” This is one of the earliest “bad dad advice” that Dani remembers.

on Dani’s 12th birthday “something” happened and Dani finally got their head injury.

These series of events lead James to leaving Dani to be cared for by a nearby church-orphanage.

They didn’t know why and never got to say goodbye.

They eventually grew to believe James abandoned them because he never visited or came back.

Dani was never taught any beliefs so immediately he was an outcast.

Only one Nun (Summer) took enough time and care to help him catch up with the other kids his age.

The church quickly grew into Dani’s belifs and gave way for religion to be a better place to look forward to than hisnown imagination. After the “event” and his unchecked brain injury, Dani’s behavior, thoughts, and imagination has changed drastically. Dani was no longer mute and was very talkative. He was active and no longer tired all of the time. All seemingly good things but… his imagination made a dark turn for the worst. He was loads of terrible, stressing thoughts. He didn’t really have anyone to turn to for help. His church wouldn’t understand take him for something medical and instead confuse it for demonic possession. Most of the nuns and monks began to condemn him and give him harsher punishments to “treat” him. Sister Summer knew he wasn’t a sinner but she didn’t have any influence to stop what was happening to him.

Part 2 (Post-2024 to Pre-2040s)

Dani is now an adult, James is all alone- rotting internally, and Asmin is not present. We do not learn what happened to her until later in the story. She appears in flash backs and is only referred in past tense.
