Nutshell:

A group of bizarre dead people in Purgatory. They have to figure out their past and how they died before they can continue in their afterlife.

Who was Ben before his death:

A newly retired veteran. He just retired the year before. Retired awfully young for his age… I wonder what happened? He had no family or friends to contact. Nobody really knew who he was besides the existence of his records from the army

Cause of death:

Gunshot wound to the head. That was determined to be mortal wound. Other wounds were present but this one is the only one considered fatal and the immediate cause of death.

Status body was found/other factors:

Ligature mark (neck abrasion), signs of strangulation by rope before death. Perhaps during death. Teeth had no matching dental records. Even military ones.

Evidence wasn’t destroyed until after the body was discovered by police. When brought to the lab, the body mysteriously ignited, burning the whole building town along with the body and collected evidence. Detectives aren’t sure if the fire was an attempt of arson or something… not natural.
